Painting is a great outlet for those inner emotions you cannot get out any other way.” Carol Brearly
Get a start with art… and ‘Harmony’ is the title of the art exhibition of Khadija Zizi, available in the Agdal Cultural Center of Rabat until the 13th of October 2013.
It’s been thirteen years since Khadija Zizi, a painter and professor of Media Studies at Institut Superieur de l’Information et de la Communication (ISIC), started painting shapes and colors.
Her art expresses her love of symbols and travels.
‘Harmony’ is inspired from the roots of a tight and sensitive relationship with the Mother.
Some of the paintings are the remembrance of the engaged, unconditional love, only a mother can offer to her children.
This work is a gift everyone owes to the person who is ready to sacrifice the best of her being to make you better.
“A feminist fights against the denial of women’s rights everywhere.”
In order not to make of this article a weaving of pure emotions, a brief description of the paintings can bring you closer to the unsuspected art creations.
Feminism is a misunderstood concept by a lot of people. Feminism is often perceived as a movement “against” men, but “a feminist fights against the denial of women’s rights everywhere,” said Mrs. Zizi.
Between the waves and the fire, the rhythm of women’s dance, the paintings express all the tenderness and the fervor women can hold within.
“I love travelling, it’s my oxygen”
The trips go on with other paintings. Revelations never stop. ‘Sandy Rhythms’, ‘Sand Princess’, boats sailing ocean dreams; Universality is everywhere: “Being carefree,” with African dancers. Then Khadija Zizi flies away to Chinese Pagodas and Symbols with “Key Values.”
The ‘Media’ is also one of the themes that some paintings depict, as they influence the way we see all we know and ignore. The professor includes one of the most known writing rules: “The Inverted Pyramids.”
Because all we get from life is inspiration, these works are the ripe fruits of another stage in life: Harmony, where the differences are not obstacles, but components of the Senses and Significations.
