Rabat- What would be the best gift the newly appointed Government can offer Moroccans on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha? Well, good news. The Government decided to cut down gas prices starting October 16th.
The Ministry Delegate in charge of General Affairs and Governance announced on Tuesday that the decrease concerns premium gas, which will be reduced by MAD O,32 for 1L. The price of the Liter will then be MAD 12.45 instead of MAD 12.77.
The same source said that Diesel and Type 2 Fuel will remain at the same prices fixed previously: MAD 8,84 a Liter and MAD 5.328,92 a ton respectively.
The decision follows the decrease of petrol prices by 2.5% in the international markets. Last September 16, the government decided to implement the indexation measure, which links gas prices in Morocco with any increase or decrease in the international market.
