On the occasion of the 8th National Forum of Associations and Foundations which was held in Paris on October 24th, Deloitte consulting group published a report on the implication of citizens in charities. It provides a comparative analysis of associative structures worldwide and provides information on how Morocco can become better by importing the best practices from abroad.
According to report, which is based on a study comparative study conducted in 20 countries, public funds account for 37% of Moroccan associations’ budget, while the private share is 37% and 26% comes from grants and donations.
Unlike the 52% of Norwegians who give back to their community without asking for anything in return, Moroccans are only 4% to volunteer regularly. Only India and Japan, with only 1%, are behind the Kingdom.
