Doha - Princess Lalla Salma, chairwoman of the Lalla Salma Foundation for Cancer Treatment and Prevention, arrived on Monday in Doha to take part in the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), which will be held on December 10-11 in Doha, at the invitation of Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.
Doha – Princess Lalla Salma, chairwoman of the Lalla Salma Foundation for Cancer Treatment and Prevention, arrived on Monday in Doha to take part in the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), which will be held on December 10-11 in Doha, at the invitation of Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.
Upon her arrival at the Doha international airport, Princess Lalla Salma was greeted by Jawaher Bint Hamad Bin Sahim Al Thani, spouse of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar and by Morocco’s ambassador in Doha El Mekki Gaouane, as well as other figures.
After a short break at the airport lounge, HRH Princess Lalla Salma headed for the palais des hôtes, her residence in Doha.
The opening of the summit, held under the patronage of Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, will be marked by a speech to be delivered by HRH Princess Lalla Salma before 600 participants, mainly decision-makers and experts from the health sector representing over 50 countries.
The high-profile meeting will discuss sustainable and innovative solutions to address health challenges worldwide.
International experts in healthcare innovation are chairing the WISH working groups which this year focus on eight themes: obesity, mental health, accountable care, end-of-life, road traffic injury, patient engagement, antimicrobial resistance, and big data and healthcare.
