Casablanca- Starting from next month, January 2014, Moroccan citizens who lost their jobs will benefit from government compensations, to which an envelope of MAD 700 million has been devoted.
Moroccan Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mr. Abdullah Sadiki, announced on Monday that the government, within the framework of the 2014 State budget, has allocated MAD700 million to compensate all citizens who lost their jobs.
The Minister added that this compensation plan would take implemented place under strict regulations. Jobless citizens would not benefit from this compensation. Only those who have lost their jobs are covered by the compensatory plan.
Furthermore, the compensation plan will cover only six months, will target middle wage earners and will represent 70% of the salary earned by the unemployed over the last three years of work before their dismissal.
