Madrid – Thanks to its Solar Plan “Noor”, Morocco offers significant investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector, according to Spanish magazine “REVE”, which specializes in clean and renewable energy.
Emerging countries which offer tremendous business opportunities in the energy sector such as Morocco, have become very important in recent years, argues the magazine on its website, noting that the Kingdom has an ambitious solar plan “Noor”. This plan, explains the magazine, aims to build five stations with a capacity of 2,000 megawatts by 2020, noting that the share of renewable energies represent 42 per cent of the overall power consumption of Morocco.
The first kilowatt of Noor station, located in Ouarzazate 1, will be integrated into the national grid starting August 2015, “REVE” recalls.
