Geneva – Morocco condemned on Thursday at a session of the UN Human Rights Council Israel’s unilateral measures in occupied Al Quds as threats to the peace process in the Middle East.
“This measures are nil under the international law, they represent a dangerous violation of the international humanitarian law and the Palestinian people’s rights and torpedo the international efforts to revive the peace process based on the two-state formula,” said Morocco’s ambassador and permanent representative to the UNO Omar Hilale.
The diplomat who was speaking during the Human Rights Council’s general debate on the human rights situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, noted that these abuses are duly documented in the reports established by the UN secretary general, the special rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories and the high commissioner for human rights.
He went on that Morocco is calling for the implementation of all the UN resolutions related to Al Quds and the Palestinian issue.
