Rabat – Moroccan TV channel “2M” strongly denounced the decision of the Algerian authorities to ban its journalists from covering the presidential election slated for Thursday in Algeria.
“2M” said in a statement that it sent a request to the current Ambassador of Algeria in Rabat on April 7 to allow two special envoys Abdelhamid Morabit and Nabil El Baradei to cover the election.
Following these unprofessional practices, 2M calls on all organizations working for the defense of the freedom of the press to immediately intervene to put an end to such practices which undermine the credibility of the Algerian government.
