Rabat – Morocco is reaping the fruits of its efforts of diversification and the promotion of exports and public investment, said managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde on Thursday in Rabat.
We notice these results in sectors with strong value added as car industry, and the aeronautics and electronics industries, Lagarde said after a meeting with head of government Abdelilah Benkirane.
She added that Morocco showed great intelligence and discernment in using the Precautionary and Liquidity Line (PLL), a financial tool giving strong signal to investors and donors that the country could commit to important reforms and respect budget commitments.
On this occasion, Lagarde highlighted progress made by the Kingdom in terms of financial stability and fostering the macro-economic framework.
The meeting was attended by economy minister and minister delegate for the budget.
