James Rodriguez in Real Madrid for €88 million

Rabat- Champions League winners’ Real Madrid have reached an agreement with French club Monaco for the transfer of World Cup Golden Boot winner James Rodriguez, Goal.com reported.

It is only a matter of finalizing personal terms on Monday before the Brazil World Cup top scorer will be officially announced as the Spanish giants’ second signing of the summer transfer window following the arrival of newly-crowned world champion Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich.

Real Madrid had to meet the Colombian’s price tag set by his Ligue 1 club Monaco estimated at a staggering 88 million Euros, making him the third most expensive footballer in the history of the game.

James Rodriguez will join a Carlo Ancelotti’s side full with other world class heavyweights, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. The 23-year-old scored 6 goals during the latest FIFA World Cup held in Brazil.
