Fez – Amid Israel’s deadly offensive in the Gaza Strip and a Palestinian death toll of over 1650, Morocco’s Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) has decided to take concrete steps to visit Gaza, in an effort to show solidarity with Palestine.
On Friday, the Moroccan Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) announced its decision to cross into Gaza Strip via the Rafah border for what the Party describes as a “solidarity visit with Palestinians who are facing blatant aggression from the Israelis,” according to a press release.
The press release said that PAM is organizing this solidarity visit to express their deep concerns for what happens to the Palestinian people in Gaza and to express their opposition to the aggression on Gaza.
“Being aware of the plight raging in Gaza, following the Israeli blatant aggression that targets unarmed civilians, including innocent children, leaving thousands of them dead or wounded, PAM has decided to organize a solidarity visit to the Palestinian enclave to express our support to our brothers in Palestine,” the press release noted.
The party’s Secretary General, Mustapha Bakkoury, and Deputy Secretary General Ilyas El Omari will lead the PAM delegation on this solidarity trip. It will include also many politburo members and deputies.
As the decision was taken, PAM officials initiated contact with Palestinian and Egyptian authorities to facilitate the delegation’s passage from the Rafah border. The PAM delegation is to make the trip as soon as permission to enter is secured.
Stressing that that Gazans’ voices have fallen on deaf ears in the international community, PAM called upon ‘’other national political parties to participate in this solidarity visit, in order to express Moroccans’ deep empathy with our Palestinian brothers, as well as our unconditional support to the Palestinian cause.”
