Tunis – 177 Moroccan nationals arrived on Tuesday and Wednesday in Tunisia via the Ras-Jedir border crossing point fleeing an unstable security situation in Libya.
177 Moroccans fleeing ongoing violence in Libya arrived at the border crossing point of Ras Jedir (south-east) since Tuesday to Wednesday at 3 p.m. local time, Moroccan General Consul in Tunis, Hassan Jamal told MAP.
Thirty others were unable to enter the Tunisian soil because they did not have passports and plane tickets from the Tunis airport to the Casablanca international airport as required by Tunisian authorities, he added.
The Moroccan consular services spare no effort to reach a solution for the Moroccan citizens and facilitate their entry to the Tunisian territory before returning to Morocco, the Moroccan diplomat affirmed.
