Rabat - King Mohammed VI granted his pardon to 292 convicts to mark the 61st anniversary of the King and People’s Revolution Day, celebrated on Wednesday (August 20th), the Justice ministry said on Tuesday.
Rabat – King Mohammed VI granted his pardon to 292 convicts to mark the 61st anniversary of the King and People’s Revolution Day, celebrated on Wednesday (August 20th), the Justice ministry said on Tuesday.
The detained beneficiaries of the pardon are:
– 272 prisoners had their prison terms reduced.
– 2 inmates’ life sentences commuted to limited prison terms.
The free beneficiaries of the pardon:
– 6 convicts benefited from pardon over their imprisonment terms.
– 12 had their fines annulled.
The royal pardon is granted to a number of prisoners by King Mohammed VI on the occasion of religious and major national celebrations.
