New York (UN) – The Development model initiated by Morocco, a ” major player in Africa”, is a “case study” for the whole continent, said Friday in New York Liberian Foreign minister Brownie Samukai.
“Morocco is a major player in the African continent and the world. We appreciate the changes taking place in the Kingdom, which has become today a model for all African countries”, Samukai told MAP.
The Liberial FM was speaking on the sidelines of a luncheon hosted by Morocco’s minister of Foreign affairs and cooperation Salaheddine Mezouar in honour of his African counterparts taking part in the 69th UN General Assembly.
Liberian chief diplomat further expressed his country’s gratitude to HM the King and the Moroccan people for Morocco’s decision on maintaining flights of the national carrier Royal Air Maroc to Liberia which is hit by the Ebola virus.
Royal Air Maroc had decided to maintain its flights to all countries affected by the epidemic of Ebola (Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone) in a “in a gesture of responsible solidarity.”
