US Ambassador to UN Praises Morocco’s Decision to Maintain Flights To Ebola-Hit Zone

New York (UN) – US ambassador to the UN Samantha Power praised the airlines which maintained flights to the Ebola worst affected West African countries, including Morocco’s carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM), saying the remaining flights are a precious “lifeline” for the people of the region.

Following a tour in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia, the US official hailed the airlines of Belgium, France and Morocco for maintaining their flights to the West African region.

These flights are a “lifeline” for the people of this region who, thanks to these airlines, can move while respecting certain protocols, she added.

Royal Air Maroc decided to maintain its regular scheduled flights to the three worst hit countries by the Ebola pandemic (Sierra Leon, Guinea and Liberia) “in a gesture of solidarity”
