In a statement to the press on the sidelines of the 9th conference of the International Association of National Public Health Institutes (IANPHI), held on November 2-4 in Marrakech, Alwan underlined the plan set up in Morocco as well as the series of preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities to prevent the virus from accessing the Kingdom.
“I had the occasion, accompanied by health minister El Houssaine Louardi, to get informed about these measures at the Casablanca Mohammed V airport upon my arrival at the Kingdom to take part in the conference,” said the UN official, highlighting the close cooperation between the World Health Organization and the Moroccan health ministry.
