Rabat- Famous Emirati singer, Ahlam Ali Al Shamsi, known as Ahlam, composed a song especially for the marriage of Prince Moulay Rachid, brother of King Mohammed VI, whose wedding ceremony kicked off on Thursday.
Rabat- Famous Emirati singer, Ahlam Ali Al Shamsi, known as Ahlam, composed a song especially for the marriage of Prince Moulay Rachid, brother of King Mohammed VI, whose wedding ceremony kicked off on Thursday.
Prince Moulay Rachid sealed his union with Miss Oum Keltoum Boufarès last June.
Oum Keltoum Boufares is the daughter of Mamoun Boufares who was the governor of Marrakech when King Mohammed VI ascended the throne in July 1999.
Moulay Mamoum Boufarès, is the son of Princess Lalla Khadija, daughter of Sultan Moulay Youssef, who is the father of the late king Mohammed V, the grandfather of King Mohammed VI.
Chaired by King Mohammed VI, the wedding ceremony was attended by numerous personalities, among which are members of the royal family and relatives of the King, members of government, personalities from the worlds of culture, arts and business, as well as royal families of several friendly countries of Europe, Asia and the Gulf.
National ambassadors and foreign diplomatic representatives were also invited to the ceremony.
Several national music groups were called upon to be part of the three-day wedding.
