Tetouan -  Some 2.3 tons of drugs were seized Friday night on the road linking the northern cities of Tetouan and El Hoceima, Customs sources said. The banned substance, seized at the National Highway No. 16 connecting between Tetouan and El Hoceima, was concealed in the form of 75 wrapped packages onboard a car registered in Morocco that tried to pass the customs checkpoint, the same sources said, noting that the vehicle occupants managed to escape.
