Casablanca – Four buildings collapsed on Tuesday evening, at about ten o’clock pm, near the Street of “Aljaych Almalaki” in Casablanca.
The four buildings (of 3 to 5 floors) collapsed completely, while the fifth house is about to collapse, in the neighbourhood of Arssat ben Salama near the Hassan II Mosque.
The only woman who was injured in the tragic incident was admitted quickly to Moulay Youssef hospital.
Dozens of police cars and fire trucks were dispatched to the scene of the accident to rescue the victims and determine the cause of the collapse.
The reasons of the collapse of the three-storey and five-storey buildings are still unknown.
This tragic event brings to the mind the tragedy of Borgone incident that claimed the life of 23 people on July.
