In an interview with MWN, Hamza Benlarabi, president of Al Akhawayn Model United Nations, said, ”Our Model United Nations club’s principal goal is the simulation of the United Nations. Our main objective is to promote the United Nations’ importance while also emphasizing the importance of its affiliated agencies.”
Speaking more on the organization’s purpose, Mr. Benlarabi said, “The principal objectives of our club are to facilitate Moroccan students’ access to the United Nations simulation, to provide opportunities for students to meet managerial staff of influential Moroccan enterprises that represent agencies of the United Nations, and to promote the experience of other Moroccans with these foreign diplomats.”
The delegates will be divided into five main committees: United Nations Security council, World Health Organization, Second Commission of the General Assembly of the United Nations (economic and financial), Third Commission of the General Assembly of the United Nations (social, humanitarian, and cultural), and finally the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
