Rabat – Morocco international Adel Taarabt has been reported to be so desperate to move back to Italian side AC Milan that he is willing to accept a pay-cut.
According to media reports, Taarabt wanted to move to Milan on a permanent basis in the summer. However, AC Milan were deterred after Queens Park Rangers, Taarabt’s current team, demanded £6 million to release him.
The Morocco international spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan.
“I miss Italy and Serie A. Now I’m here in London, but I hope that with the new year I can return to Italy,” the Moroccan was quoted as saying.
“When I returned to England after six months at Milan I said so right away to coach Redknapp and he became angry with me.
“(Clarence) Seedorf (former manager) wanted me at Milan, then Filippo Inzaghi arrived and he went for other names. I would take a pay cut to return to Milan,” he added.
Taarabt has made just three appearances for QPR this season.
