Rabat- A picture of Tunisia’s newly elected President Beji Caid Essebsi is going viral and stirring controversy.
The picture shows the 88-year-old veteran politician praying in a mosque while wearing black sun glasses.
The picture has gone viral on social networks on Wednesday. However, the picture is reported to have been taken during the days of Essebsi’s electoral campaign.
In addition to the black sun glasses which are not in use in Muslim prayers, the picture stirred controversy because Essebsi did not touch the ground while prostrating and he put his left hand on top of the right hand.
