Rabat – A report by Turkish news agency Anadolu recently posted on YouTube tells the story of a Moroccan man who was left by his wife to join the ranks of the ill-named terrorist organization the Islamic State.
In the report, the man explains how he refused his wife’s multiple requests to join the Islamic State, formerly known as ISIS or ISIL, which controls swaths of land in Iraq and Syria.
The man said he notified the police after his wife went missing for a week. He added that after three months of disappearance his wife called him saying that she was in Syria which she entered via Turkey.
He said his wife was trying to lure him into joining the so-called Islamic State, saying the terrorist organization will help him find a job and lead a dignified life.
The man’s refusal prompted the wife to ask him for a divorce so she will be able to marry in Syria.
