Rabat – Morocco has made great strides to reduce its energy dependence, U.S. Ambassador in Morocco Dwight L. Bush said Wednesday.
“The Kingdom has made great strides to reduce its energy dependence, and I am very impressed with the significant investment mobilized to promote the energy sector, including renewable energy,” the U.S. ambassador told MAP following a meeting with Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment Abdelkader Amara.
Morocco represents the future of the energy sector in the region, Bush said, adding that the Kingdom serves as an example for neighboring countries wishing to reduce their energy dependence.
Regarding Morocco’s energy strategy, the U.S. diplomat said he visited Ouarzazate solar complex, a project that uses the most advanced technologies and demonstrates the relevance of Morocco’s choices in the field of renewable energy
