Rabat- Morocco’s Upper House and the French Senate signed, on Thursday in Paris, a protocol on parliamentary cooperation.
The protocol was signed on the sidelines of the French-Moroccan parliamentary forum by Speakers of Morocco’s Upper House and the French Senate, Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah and Gérard Larcher respectively.
Under the agreement, the two parties shall work to further boost the close ties between the two parliaments on the principles of equality, reciprocity, confidence and mutual benefit.
The protocol also provides for cooperation in developping bilateral relations and the exchange of experiences and information on issues of common concern, notably in terms of territorial reforms.
The two parties also vowed to cooperate on issues relating to the environment, clean energies, trade, security cooperation, and issues relating to youth mobility.
The agreement also provides for cooperation in the field of legislation, administration and parliamentary communication.
