Kuwait City – The leadership and proactive vision of King Mohammed VI has contributed to overcoming the challenges in the Arab region, Communication Mistier, Government spokesman, Mustapha El Khalfi said Tuesday in Kuwait City.
“In an Arab world plagued by civil wars, acute political crises and severe economic problems, Morocco constitutes a successful example of stability, progress and the implementation of major reforms, which have spurred a positive political dynamic,” El Khalfi said at the 8th MIT Pan-Arab Conference, the flagship event of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Arab Alumni Association (MIT AAA).
The minister said that this political dynamic is reflected primarily in the reform process that has touched on justice through strengthening its independence, moralization and enhancing its effectiveness in the fight against corruption, public finance through lifting the compensation system for petroleum product prices, as well as decentralization and the upcoming introduction of advanced regionalization.
Organized jointly with the MIT Enterprise Forum of the Pan Arab Region (MIT EF Pan Arab), this year’s conference addressed the Arab world’s most pressing challenges and discussed the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in overcoming these issues.
The MIT AAA was established in the late 1990s to create a bridge between MIT, one of the leading universities in the world, and the Arab region.
