Casablanca - King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, received, Wednesday at the Royal Palace of Casablanca, Noureddine Bahti, who presented his condolences to the Sovereign following the martyrdom of his son, Lieutenant Yassine Bahti, while fulfilling his professional duty in Yemen, the King’s Office said.
Casablanca – King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, received, Wednesday at the Royal Palace of Casablanca, Noureddine Bahti, who presented his condolences to the Sovereign following the martyrdom of his son, Lieutenant Yassine Bahti, while fulfilling his professional duty in Yemen, the King’s Office said.
During the audience, “HM the King expressed to Mr. Bahti His feelings of sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family in this painful circumstance, expressing His compassion and solicitude,” the King’s Office said in a statement.
On this occasion, “HM the King presented to Mr. Bahti the “En-Nejm El-Harbi” wissam with the Nation’s Commendation, which the Sovereign awarded, posthumously, to his son, Lieutenant Yassine Bahti, in consideration of the services and sacrifices he has made for the Royal Armed Forces,” the statement added.
A military funeral was organized on Wednesday in Salé, Rabat’s twin city, to honor the 26-year-old pilot whose warplane crashed in Yemen on May 10th.
The pilot has been hailed as a hero by the different component of the Moroccan people, who expressed their solidarity with his family.
