Washington - Aicha Ech-chenna, President and Founder of the Solidarité Féminine Association, received the World Bank’s Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA) Award for the region of the Middle East and North Africa region.
Washington – Aicha Ech-chenna, President and Founder of the Solidarité Féminine Association, received the World Bank’s Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA) Award for the region of the Middle East and North Africa region.
The award is presented to individuals in government and civil society organizations in six regions for their outstanding contributions, influence and impact in the field of social accountability as a means to eradicate poverty and foster shared prosperity.
“I am honoured to receive such a distinction which stands as a recognition for Morocco,” Ech-chenna said on the occasion of the awarding ceremony held during the GPSA forum in on May 12-13 in Washington.
Aicha Ech-Chenna as a leading civil society activist in the field of defending women and children’s rights notably those living in precarious social conditions.
