The Royal donation was extended by Mohammed VI Foundation for sustainable development and is part of Royal initiatives aiming at lending a humanitarian dimension to Morocco’s solidarity with African countries as part of the south-south cooperation approach.
The donation is made up of two tons of medicines for treating opportunistic diseases and infections linked to AIDS. These include 800 antiviral, 10,700 antibacterial and 22,400 antifungal packs.
Last Friday, King Mohammed VI made a donation of ten tons of medicines and equipment to the University Hospital Center of Fann in Dakar.
This donation was composed of antibiotics for contagious, gastrointestinal, respiratory and neurological conditions, ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology drugs, and other medicines used in emergency cases, anesthesia-intensive care and nephrology-dialysis.
It is also composed of a batch of medical and technical material, including autoclaves for sterilization and automatic blood pressure monitors for health centers in Senegal.
King Mohammed VI paid a work and friendship to Senegal in Dakar, first leg of an African tour that will take the sovereign to Guinea Bissau, Côte d’Ivoire and Gabon.
