Rabat – AC Milan’s Hachim Mastour has accepted to play for the Moroccan national team.
The 16-year-old prodigy and his family have reportedly accepted the invitation from the Moroccan Royal Football Federation (FRMF) to represent Morocco.
According to local reports, Mastour told the national team that he has accepted the invitation to wear the Moroccan colors.
The youngster is expected to be part of the Moroccan national team lineup for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Libya.
He is also expected to make his Morocco debut against Libya this month in the Grand Stadium of Agadir.
The talented wonderkid has already played for the under-16 national team of Italy.
If he plays even one minute at senior level for Morocco, he won’t be eligible to represent Italy in future.
