Rabat – Morocco on Tuesday deported two FEMEN activists who posed topless in front of Hassan mosque in the country’s capital.
The two French nationals shot “an obscene video in Hassan Tour in Rabat, and denied them entry into National territory,” the Interior Ministry said.
Moroccan authorities had earlier on the day arrested Esther Marie Delamar et Laurine De Olivera Ferrera at the international airport of Rabat-Salé for shooting an “obscene video” at the esplanade of the Hassan Tower, the ministry pointed out in a statement.
The two French nationals aged respectively 25 and 30, who arrived in Morocco on Monday, “shot an obscene video” in a place of worship, topless, sporting a slogan violating public morality”, the same source added.
This provocative act constitutes an unacceptable offense to the whole Moroccan society, in all its components, the ministry added.
