A release of the interior ministry says investigations revealed that the cell members were planning to carry out dangerous terrorist operations in Morocco, including kidnapping and killing people who did not share their ideas, as well as tourists going to the eastern region’s sea resorts.
To this end, they underwent intensive paramilitary training in a mountainous region with a view to assaulting security agents and taking their weapons to use them in the killing of military officials, in accordance with a “fatwa” issued by a Daech warlord in the Syrian-Iraqi borders, according to the source.
The cell crushing is part of efforts made by face terrorist threats, says the interior ministry.
The suspects will be referred to justice after the investigations are completed.
