Paris – Head of government Abdelilah Benkirane said, on Monday in Paris, that Morocco seeks to reach a growth rate of 6 to 7% given that it has all the potential to attain it.
“We are convinced that the private sector should be an engine of growth and that the State’s role is to ensure an appropriate economic, legal and institutional environment,” he said in a speech before ambassadors accredited to the OECD.
The head of government explained that one of the main projects undertaken in Morocco is the reform of the judiciary to reinforce the independence of the judiciary power, improve its efficiency, help modernize judiciary administration and support amelioration of its governance as well as its moralization.
Benkirane said that the reform of the judiciary is a real road map for this vital sector, not only for business but also for defending individual and collective rights.
Underlining that public governance is considered by the Moroccan cabinet as a key element in any policy seeking to reconcile citizens and enterprises with the administration, he recalled the main measures that were taken in this regard.
