Taroudante – Israeli Foreign Intelligence, Mossad, held Iranian intelligence responsible for the leak of confidential diplomatic documents exchanged between Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
According to the Monday issue of the Moroccan daily Al Massae, “An Israeli report accused Tehran of appointing hackers to hack confidential diplomatic documents exchanged between Riyadh and Rabat.”
The same report accused Iran of its involvement in the leak of no less than 70,000 secret correspondence between the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and various embassies around the world, including its embassy in Morocco.
“Riyadh acknowledged the infiltration of its computer networks and attributed the responsibility of downloading and hacking classified diplomatic documents to a group called the “Yemeni Electronic Army,” and another called the “ClearSky Cybersecurity” that specializes in computer security.
The report also reveals that Iran is seeking more hackers who are based in its territory to hack diplomatic data exchanged between Rabat and Riyadh,” the same source said.
Al Massae added that “ClearSky Cybersecurity” allegedly detected a group of hackers, self-proclaimed the “Ajax Security Team” when they hacked Moroccan computer systems. The “Ajax Security Team” is active in the Middle East and North Africa, and supported by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Israeli report said that the path followed by Iranian hackers to circulate sensitive documents of the Moroccan Foreign Affairs and Military Intelligence was identified.
The information was circulated through the twitter account of Chris Colman who Algeria allegedly financed in an attempt to harm Morocco’s diplomatic relations within the country and with the Sahara.
