Rabat – Shortly after he made his international debut with Morocco earlier this month, AC Milan are said to be willing to offer Moroccan starlet Hachim Mastour to the Turkish side of Besiktas.
The Italian giants are reportedly offering 17-year-old Hachim Mastour and 3 million euros in order to sign Besiktas winger of Moroccan origin Kerim Frei.
According to Italian media reports, the Istanbul club has decided to accept the offer and Frei may soon be in Milan to discuss with the Rossoneri.
Frei is one of the most promising young players in the Turkish Super Lig and still has three years left on his contract with Besiktas.
However, several Italian media outlets deemed as “strange” Milan’s decision to forgo Hachim Mastour for a player like Frei, who is definitely a “good talent but not that quite impressive.”
The 21-year-old scored four goals and provided one assist in 43 appearances in all competitions for Besiktas this season.
Media reports speculate that if a deal is to be concluded between the two sides it would be very “surprising” given the fact that AC Milan has invested heavily in Mastour, who is dubbed the Moroccan Messi.
Frei, whose mother is Moroccan, was first spotted by Swiss side Grasshoppers at the age of 13 and was snapped up by Fulham just three years later.
