Rabat – Amidst the controversy taking place in Morocco in recent days after the arrest of two young women in Inzegane, near Agadir, for being dressed “inappropriately,” a new video posted on YouTube on Sunday shows a man dressed in an Afghani-like abaya approaching a woman walking with another woman.
The man, who appears to harbor Salafist views, told the woman she was “denuded.” Surprised by what the man said, the young woman, who was wearing pants and a t-shirt, reacted angrily and told him “go to hell””.
The woman walks few steps further and then turns back and tells him angrily, “Am I denuded? I wear a sarwal (pants) like you.”
While the young woman was venting her anger at him, the man started praying for her, saying, “May God heal her! May God heal her.”
