Rabat – Paris Hilton was recently the subject of a prank in Dubai in which she was made to think a plane she was on was plunging into ocean in a nosedive.
In the video of the prank that has since gone viral on YouTube and other social media platforms, the 34-year-old heiress was seen weeping and screaming as she thought the plane giving her a tour of Dubai was about to crash.
The American actress threatened to take legal action against the Egyptian company of the show “Ramez in Control” that pranked her. Hilton claimed she was not aware of prank before taking part, but it has been reported that she might have been aware of the whole thing and agreed to go with it.
Gossip website TMZ claim they have obtained a document prepared by the production company behind TV programme Ramez in Control.
According to the document, the company offered nearly a million dollars to Paris Hilton to take part in the programme.
The document states, “We will act as if something is going wrong and ask all passengers to jump off the plane!!! Of course everyone will panic, we’ll be having skydivers in disguise with us on board.”
“We will monitor the funny reactions from our celebrity guest when they fear jumping off the plane,” the document added.
TMZ went on to claim that the local authorities of Dubai were also aware of the prank show and promised to provide security.
“Dubai official authorities are monitoring this show and providing us with security. If you want to make sure, you can contact the office of crown prince of Dubai, his majesty Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He himself will be supervising the progress of the project,” read the document.
TMZ quoted sources claiming that the production company offered money “in the million dollar range” to US celebrities willing to participate in the prank show.
