Rabat – Morocco’s House of Representatives on Tuesday passed the draft law approving the additional protocol to the Mutual Assistance Agreement between Morocco and France.
The amended text introduces a new article 23a on the “implementation of international agreements”, which provides for consolidating data exchange between judicial authorities, ensure smooth procedures and optimize management skills, Minister Delegate to the Foreign Minister Mbarka Bouaida said on this occasion.
This amendment aims to strengthen the bonds between judicial institutions in the two countries based on mutual respect for sovereignty and in harmony with the common international commitments, as well as contribute to greater relevance of binding international agreements, on the basis of equality and respect.
This additional protocol, signed on February 6th, 2015, favors a more lasting and effective cooperation between France and Morocco, with due respect for domestic law and the international commitments of the two Parties.
