Rabat – A new survey has revealed that Morocco’s Royal Air Maroc is the African company with the highest brand recognition amongst business journalists.
In a press conference in Paris on Tuesday, the Middle-East and African poll from the communication agency “Public Rumor”, released its latest survey on the influence of African countries.
The survey, which was conducted between May and June 2015based its ranking on the answers of business journalists who were asked to give the names of five African companies in any sector. Most business journalists mentioned the Moroccan national carrier RAM.
The survey noted that the recognition of the RAM brand was due to the company’s huge investment in advertising.
In fact, 55 per cent of the business journalists surveyed said they know RAM through advertising, 21 percent said they know it from personal research, 21 percent know the company via sponsored events and 8 percent via news.
Last year, Royal Air Maroc was awarded Africa’s best regional airline for 2014 by Skytrax at the World Airline Awards in Farnborough. It landed in sixth place for the quality of services provided by its staff, and ranked 7th best airline in Africa.
With this ranking RAM has risen from a 2 star ranking to a 3 star on the Skytrax index.
