Rabat – FC Barcelona striker of Moroccan origin Munir El Haddadi has no more than four months to convince manager Luis Enrique that he can make it to the first team’s lineup.
According to Spanish sports newspaper MARCA, the 20-year-old has until January to show his potential or he will be shown the door, especially as Sandro Ramirez has emerged as Enrique’s first choice when Messi, Suarez or Neymar are not available.
The youth academy product appeared to be set to put in some good performances following Pedro’s move to Chelsea. However, it was Sandro Ramirez that leapfrogged Munir to feature in four of Barcelona’s five games up till now.
Munir, who made one appearance with La Roja, played only 22 minutes midway through the second half of the Spanish Super Cup return leg against Athletic Bilbao.
MARCA also highlighted that Barcelona has been eyeing Celta Vigo attacker Manuel Nolito all summer. However, the FIFA transfer ban on Barcelona halted the move.
