Rabat – Chelsea FC’s Manager, Jose Mourniho, has earned nearly every major honor football has to offer. Now, he can also add to his ‘trophy case’ being honored in the Guinness World Records book.
The Guinness World Records book team visited the Cobham training ground to present the 52-year-old with certificates for four records.
Guinness World Records announced in its official website the record titles for former Real Madrid and Inter Milan Coach. He earned: “Most Points in a Premier League Season (95), Most Champions League’s Won at Different Clubs, Youngest Manager to Reach 100 Champions League Games (49 years 12 days) and Most Games Unbeaten at Home in the Premier League (77)”.
In pure Mourinho style, the ‘Special One’ admitted he was looking forward to adding these titles to his ‘certificate wall’.
“The fact that I can hang these awards in my office is nice. It’s something fun and as a kid you could never imagine that one day you would be in Guinness World Records Book”.
“I’m now more focused on winning the next game than on what I’ve done in the last 10 or 15 years,” he said.
Mourinho joins in the records book with former FC Chelsea midfielder and current New York City star Frank Lampard for his goal against Chelsea.
Lampard broke former Manchester United, striker Andy Cole’s record for scoring against the Most Premier League Clubs, after netting against Chelsea, the club where he is a record goal scorer, for Manchester City last season.
“It was a weird feeling when I scored,” Lampard said. “But it did get me the record so I am also very happy with the goal”.
And with no surprise, Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo also joined Mourniho and Lampard in the Guinness World Records book, for two titles.
According to the records website, “Having scored his 27th treble in the Spanish top flight last season, Cristiano Ronaldo now holds the title for the Most Hat-tricks Scored in La Liga, overtaking Real Madrid legend Alfredo Di Stéfano”.
Ronaldo earns also Most Followed Athlete and Person ever on Facebook (over 100 million likes) and Twitter (over 27 million followers).
