Rabat – FC Chelsea manager Jose Morinho has lashed out at a journalist who questioned his record, during a media briefing held on Tuesday, ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The Special One reacted angrily when a reporter suggested that he had an issue at staying with clubs for the longer term, countering the suggestion his third season was when everything went wrong, according to Mundo Deportivo.
“Look, my third season at Porto? I didn’t have a third season,” Morniho said.
“My third season at Inter? I didn’t have a third season.”
“My third season at Chelsea the first time? I won the FA Cup, the Carling Cup and played the Champions League semi-finals.
“The third season at Real Madrid I won the Super Cup, lost the cup final and went to the Champions League semi-finals.
“These are my third seasons, so click Google instead of making stupid questions and try to find.
“You spoke about the third season, and I’m telling you the question was stupid. I know the point, and the point is the question was stupid. I’m sorry.”
Jose Morinho has come under fire last weekend after Everton sent Chelsea crashing to their third Premier League defeat of the season, last Saturday, in a 3-1 win.
The result left the champions with only four points from their opening five matches, marking their worst start since 1988.
Morinho admitted that he is unhappy, adding that he knows the critical situation of his club.
“We start so bad. (But) it’s not because of that somebody can steal what we are,”
“Nobody can steal what we are, nobody can steal our trophies, nobody can steal our history. We know what we are: champions of England,” he concluded.
