Rabat – Anthony Martial, French forward player, is quieting his critics by delivering a good play for Manchester United at this season’s Premier League.
The Red Devils purchased the AS Monaco footballer for a reported EUR 80 million inclusive of bonus, which raised many critics saying the British club paid too much money for Martial.
The large amount paid for Martial, 50 million euros plus 30 million euros as bonus, has reportedly shocked the football world, with many observers calling it a “hallucinating offer” for a teenage player.
Manchester’s coach Louis van Gaal was quoted as saying, “The amount of the transfer is ridiculous and symbolic of the crazy world in which we live”.
However, the 19-year-old emerging French star is causing a sensation among media social users, as he has been scoring goals in nearly every match so far at the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Martial is not wasting any time and proving wrong all those who have questioned his talent. He debuted at the Old Trafford on September 12 marking the third winning goal against Liverpool (3-1).
The French forward has shown his moves at the Premier League, scoring twice against Southampton (3-2).
More recently on September 23, Martial scored a goal over Ipswich Town (3-0). This marks Anthony’s fourth goal at the United, in four matches.
Is Anthony Martial worth the EUR 80 million? He is definitely trying to justify his worth despite the pressure and harsh comments, and so far the Red Devils are content with the teenager’s performance.
