New York – Manchester City’s striker Kun Agüero gave his opinion about the rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
In an interview with TyC Sports, the Argentine international said that no one, not even the Portuguese superstar is close to Messi’s level.
“For me, not Cristiano or anyone is close to Leo. If Leo is a 10, the rest of us are 3 points behind him,” Agüero said, praising his fellow Argentine teammate.
Agüero who also plays for the Argentina national team will be wearing the Barcelona star’s No. 10 in his absence from the South American World Cup qualifiers this week.
“Messi sent me a message to wear it [10 jersey] and I don’t have an option but to wear it. What am I going to tell him?”, Agüero said.
“We all know that Messi is unique,” he added.
The Man City forward went to say this is “the best moment of his sports career.”
“Since a year and a half ago I’ve been constant,” stressed the acclaimed striker, who was responsible for the absolute “Sky Blues” win against Newcastle.
Agüero netted 5 out of the 6 goals by Manchester City, which allow his team to consolidate its leading standing at the Premier League.
