Marrakech – After holding events in Tetouan and Rabat, the third and final stage of the 6th Morocco Royal Tour is taking place this weekend at the “Salon du Cheval,” “Horse Show” in El Jadida.
The best showjumping horsemen left Rabat for the third round of the Morocco Royal Tour in El Jadida, a coastal city south of Casablanca.
An indoor track, El Jadida is the Tour’s finale since the circuit is held at the “Salon du Cheval”. The athletes will undoubtedly be keen to shine before an informed and passionate audience for the Grand Prize.
Audiences can count on Pius Schwizer. For its first participation in Morocco Royal Tour, Switzerland has caused a stir by winning two events in Tetouan and the Grand Prix World Cup in Rabat.
Juan Carlos Garcia, the Italian victor in Tetouan, will present Bonzai Van de Warande. Finally, supported by his audience, Moroccan Abdelkebir Ouaddar, who placed second in Rabat, will form a formidable pair with Kreisker Quickly motivated by this final chance to win a stage.
On the other hand, Olivier Robert has an excellent capital trust. The defending champion last year on Catapult, he will ride Quenelle du Py this year, with whom he finished on third place at the Tetouan Grand Prix.
In previous years, the Moroccan Royal Tour welcomed riders from more than twenty nations, including a prestigious group horse-riders: Olympic medalists, World Equestrian Games participants, various continental championships, and a host of world stars of jumping show.
Based on a simple and effective concept, the Morocco Royal Tour is organized very much like a trilogy: three cities, three-day events, international three starts, three horses, and three settings. In short, three more reasons for internationals to come and take part in the contest in Morocco.
