Starkville (Mississippi) – Morocco’s Ambassador to the United States, Rachad Bouhlal, on Friday appointed Mark Everett Keenum as the Kingdom’s Honorary Consul in the State of Mississippi.
Everett Keenum and the State of Mississippi will play a “leading” role in strengthening the secular and privileged relations between Morocco and the United States, Bouhlal said during the appointment ceremony.
Bouhlal also said the contribution of the State of Mississippi and Mr. Everett Keenum as honorary consul will be important in the process of consolidating Moroccan-US cooperation ties.
In this regard, he underlined that Rabat and Washington are linked by a long history of friendship that dates back to the 18th century and a free trade agreement that came into force in 2006, which ushered in a “new era” of cooperation and trade exchange between the two countries.
