Rabat – French President Francois Hollande blamed ISIS for being behind the multiple deadly attacks across Paris that killed 153.
Speaking early Saturday, Hollande blamed ISIS for orchestrating the “cowardly” attacks which he described as an “act of war committed by a terrorist army and organized and planned from outside.”
The president vowed to be “merciless” with the nation’s foes, calling for “unity and courage.”
Hollande added, “We will work alongside our allies to fight this terrorist menace.”
“France is strong and even if it is wounded it will get up always and nothing will hold us down, even if we are feeling the grief now, we will defend ourselves.”
The president raised the security threat level to its highest point and imposed a nationwide state of emergency.
CNN said that the death toll rose to 153 and around 200 other people were wounded.
The Associated Press reported that the eight terrorists believed to be behind the carnage were killed.
