Rabat – A new picture of King Mohammed VI which is reported to be taken in Paris moments before the attack late on Friday, has surfaced on social media.
The picture, which features the king with a young Moroccan man in what it appears to be a supermarket in Paris, was posted this Saturday by Soufiane ElBahri, owner of the Facebook page dedicated to the Moroccan royal family.
ElBahri said that the picture was taken in Paris moments before the deadly terrorist attack, which claimed the lives of at least 153 people late on Friday.
Meanwhile, he assured Moroccans that the king is safe and in a good shape.
King Mohammed VI sent his condolences to the French president François Hollande this Saturday, expressing his sadness over the despicable terrorist attacks that rocked several neighborhoods in Paris.
“I would like to condemn in the strongest terms on behalf of the Moroccan people and in my own name these vile terrorist acts and express our full solidarity and support to France and its people in this ordeal,” the Royal message said.
King Mohammed VI is on a private visit to Paris for a period of convalescence. Last Tuesday, the personal physician of the monarch prescribed a suspension of the sovereign’s activities for 10 to 15 days after the monarch contracted a severe flu syndrome during his visit to India.
