New York – Less than 24 hours before the Paris terrorist attacks, a British man pushed a Muslim woman into the path of an oncoming London subway train.
The heinous act was captured by surveillance cameras placed inside the subway station.
The shocking video footage shows the man, who was been identified as Yoshiyuki Shinohara, 81, watching the woman and preparing to push her into the path of the subway. As soon as he saw the train approaching, he rushed to push her.
Luckily, the woman did not fall on the train path. She slamed into the train before rebounding onto the platform.
The video shows commuters rushing to help the victim.
The British Transport Police said that the woman suffered minor injuries, according to the Tribune.com.pk.
“Our staff acted quickly to assist the woman and other customers at the scene, and we are working closely with the police as they carry out their investigation,” Director of enforcement and on-street operations at Transport for London, Steve Burton was quoted by the same source as saying.
The suspect was arrested by the police and is due to appear before court on November 25.
