Rabat – A video posted by Aljazeera shows how Otis Johnson, who was recently released from prison after being locked away for 44 years, reacted with amazement to modern technology.
Johnson was 25 when he was jailed “for a crime of attempted murder.” When he was released at the age of 69, he found that the world has totally changed.
In the video, Johnson expressed his surprise after he visited Times Square in New York City.
For Johnson, people with wires in their ears “looked like CIA agents.” He was confused when he saw “pedestrians talking to themselves,” while in fact they were speaking on the phones.
Video billboards illuminating storefront windows also astonished Johnson.
